Zwärgli is a well equipped chalet but could easily be Excellent if some CARE would be given by the people who take care of the rental. The reasons for my comment are: 1)They do not speak English very well, communication is difficult if you do not know German. So, when we needed a taxi at 11pm from the Wengen train station to Zwärgli house, it was quite difficult to make ourselves clear.2)We arrived on Friday evening and had to sweat blood to get our luggages from the taxi who left us far away from where the chalet was and directed us to the wrong chalet.We walked in pitch darkness, not even a 'street' light.3)Interhome only 'contacted' us on the Tuesday, by leaving us a Welcome Pack with a set of rules stuck to the front door window, one of these rules, was to reserve the right to charge our credit card if the chalet was not cleaned and used linen was not left on the floor.4)There was no access to an iron and board; we could use the washing machine but there was no detergent and ALL instructions for appliances were written in german, so even if we wished to buy a whole bottle of detergent to accomodate ourselves, we would have had to spend more time translating on a site to get the wash done.5)Enough towels were supplied for our family, for a few days but since they were not changed in our 13-day-stay, it was an inconvenience that we could not use the machine to wash the towels.6)Last but not least, on booking we realised that there were no breakfast essentials awaiting us but we did not expect to be charged for the groceries of one loaf of bread, a box of corn flakes, a bottle of milk and some ham, that we had asked to be left in the kitchen; especially when we paid a fortune for this kind of accommodation, which is beautiful, it is true but surely too expensive for what it offers. We have travelled and used plenty of self catering accommodation and there is ALWAYS a complimentary Welcome Hamper waiting for us to get us through a quick nibble before we are able to head to the local supermarket. Having mentioned all this, Zwärgli is set in a very good location amidst beautiful scenery and wonderful walks of various types; from easy to very difficult, from normal brisk walking, to mountain climbing/skiing. On clear cloudless days (very rare) the scenery is idyllic and breathtaking, that you would opt to cancel all your plans for the unexpectedly clear day just to remain around the chalet and absorb all the beauty, peace and freshness.
